Ambassador Srikumar Menon
Former Ambassador to South Sudan, Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe

Ambassador Srikumar Menon is a retired career diplomat with extensive experience in government administration, international trade, and economic relations. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Delhi University and possesses a strong background in Political Science and International Relations.
During his distinguished service in the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), he served as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Angola (2018–2019), with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of São Tomé & Príncipe. Prior to this, he was the Ambassador of India to the Republic of South Sudan (2015–2018).
Before his ambassadorial assignments, Ambassador Menon held various key positions at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) headquarters in New Delhi, including working on the UK and Netherlands desk in the Europe-West Division. His diplomatic career includes diverse postings in Indian Missions across Muscat (Oman), Tehran (Iran), Khartoum (Sudan), Singapore, Warsaw (Poland), and The Hague (Netherlands). He also undertook a special assignment in Baghdad (Iraq).
From 2010 to 2013, he represented the Indian Mission at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague.
Since retiring from the Foreign Service in November 2019, Ambassador Menon has remained active in the strategic community. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor and Consultant to Indian corporates and supports charitable organizations as a Patron.
