Biography
Aya Ouiremmi is a Research Associate at Hegemoniq, specializing in international legal frameworks and security dynamics. She is currently a contractual PhD student at Université Cote d’Azur, where she is leading a research thesis on the “Responses of Security and Defense International Organizations to the Instrumentalisation of International Law”.
She holds a master’s degree in International and European Law from Université Cote d’Azur, where she validated her research thesis (magna cum laude) on the “International Legal Aspects of the Operation Involving the Explosion of Hezbollah’s Pagers and Walkie-Talkies in Lebanon”. She also holds a licence in Public Law from Université de Carthage, Tunisia.
Her professional experience includes a monitoring internship with l’Observatoire Géostratégique de Genève, a Geneva-based think tank, and an internship with the Tunisian League for The Defense of Human Rights. Additionally, she dedicated a year to volunteer work with the Legal Clinic of the University, conducting research on French domestic law to assist individuals with insufficient financial resources. Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, she enjoys cinema and traveling outside of her research pursuits.
