Finances and Funding Policies

Our Philosophy: Independence is Everything

Hegemoniq is, by design, an independent and unaffiliated geopolitical think tank. Our mission is to provide rigorous, non-partisan analysis, free from any external agenda, ideology, or commercial interest. Credibility is our only currency. We believe the best way to earn the trust of our readers, our partners, and the public is to be radically transparent about who we are and how we operate.

Our Current Status: A Mission-Driven Institution

In our current foundational stage, Hegemoniq is completely unfunded.

We are a passion-driven institution. Our entire global team, from our Founding Members to our Research Interns, serves in an honorary (unpaid) capacity. They contribute their time and expertise for one simple reason: they believe in our mission to build a new, credible, and globally-minded voice in strategic affairs. This 100% independent, volunteer-driven model gives us the ultimate freedom. Our only agenda is to produce the highest-quality, most objective analysis possible.

Our Editorial Independence is Non-Negotiable

Our research agenda is driven by our scholars and our editorial team, period. No partner or donor has any control over our research findings or published conclusions.

All articles and publications on this site represent the views of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the official position of Hegemoniq, its team, or its Board of Advisors.

Future Finances and Funding Policies

Hegemoniq’s mission is to build a sustainable, world-class institution. To ensure our long-term stability and professionalize our work, we are actively working to secure our first round of funding.

Legal & Financial Status Hegemoniq is currently in the process of formally registering as a non-profit organization within India. This legal framework will ensure our operations are transparent, accountable, and mission-driven.

Our funding model is being built on three core pillars, all designed to protect our non-partisan and independent voice.

1. Project-Based Collaborations & Partnerships

This is our primary, immediate focus. We will actively seek paid partnerships with respected institutions that share our commitment to objective analysis. This includes:

  • Academic & University Partnerships: Co-hosting webinars/Seminars and Other discussion events, conducting joint research projects, or providing specialized analysis for university faculties.
  • Institutional Partnerships: Collaborating on specific, non-partisan projects (like reports, policy briefs, or panel discussions) with other think tanks, non-profit organizations, and diplomatic missions.
  • Government Research: We are open to accepting specific, non-partisan research grants from government bodies (for example, to produce a specific report on regional connectivity).
2. Institutional & Foundation Grants

We will be seeking grants from established, non-partisan foundations and philanthropic organizations that support independent research, international relations, and youth-led initiatives.

3. Private Philanthropy (Donations)

As we build our public profile, we will open a channel for donations from private individuals who believe in our mission.

Our Guiding Principles (Our “Red Lines”)

Our independence is non-negotiable. To protect it, our funding policy is guided by these clear, foundational principles:

  • 1. We are Non-Partisan. Hegemoniq does not accept any funding from political parties, party-affiliated organizations, or anonymous sources. This is a firm red line to ensure our analysis remains objective and free from political influence.
  • 2. We Accept No “Pay-for-Say”. We will never accept funding that is contingent on a specific editorial outcome, policy position, or research conclusion. Our research is driven by our scholars, not our donors.
  • 3. We are India-Based. In our current foundational phase, we will only accept funding from India-based entities and organizations.
  • 4. We are Transparent. We are committed to full transparency. As we secure funding, this page will be updated to publicly disclose all institutional grants, major partnerships, and donations.

Where Will the Funding Go?

Our first priority is to invest back into our people and our product. All future funding will be used to:

  1. Provide professional salaries and stipends to our Founding Team and staff.
  2. Fund original, on-the-ground research (e.g., travel for interviews, data acquisition).
  3. Host high-impact, professional events, panels, and conferences.
  4. Cover the operational costs of running a world-class digital publications.
